Letter:

Dear Editor, I read the advertisement which was published in your newspaper. I got interested in it. I
have been looking for a job and I think it is suitable for me. I would like the opportunity to get this post.
But there is not enough information about some details in the advertisement, so I am writing to enquire
about some points: Firstly, I would like to know which gender male or female a successful candidate
should be. Then, I should say that I am ready to perform duties that you require, but you have not
mentioned which ones exactly, so please inform me about it. And the last, I wonder what kind of
qualification candidates should have. I enclose my CV and the names of two referees. I hope to hear
from you soon.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,

Essay:
Some people think that parents or other adult relatives should
make important decisions for their older (15 to 18 year-old)
teenage children. I do not agree with this opinion and I think
that teenagers should make decisions themselves.

Firstly, I believe that at that age children improve their sense of

independence, which is really essential for their future success
and ability to implement their plans. They should start making
important decisions to encourage this process.
Secondly, I think that deciding important things makes
teenagers responsible. They feel that their opinion is valued
and try their best to make right decisions. It improves their
sense of responsibility.

In conclusion, I believe that teenagers should make decisions

themselves. They learn to be independent and responsible.
These things are essential for children’s future life and success.
