Invitation for Bids for the Construction of Mahakavi Laxmi Prasad Devkota Sangrahalaya

1. The Government of Nepal, Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation is going to provide fund for the
Renovation of Nepal Academy, Kamaladi, Kathmandu for the Construction of Mahakavi Laxmi Prasad
Devkota Sangrahalaya. Bidding is open to all eligible Nepalese Bidders.
2. Nepal Academy invites electronic bids from eligible bidders for the construction of Mahakavi Laxmi
Prasad Devkota Sangrahalaya under National Competitive Bidding – Single Stage Two Envelope Bidding
procedures.
Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications should participate in this bidding:
 Minimum Average Annual Construction Turnover of the best 3 years within the last 10 years: NRs.
124.3 Million
 Minimum Work experience of similar size and nature: NRs. 66.3 Million
3. Under the Single Stage, Two Envelope Procedure, Bidders are required to submit simultaneously two
separate sealed envelopes, one containing (i) the Technical Bid and the other (ii) the Price Bid, both in egp
system a per the provision of ITB 21 of the Bidding Document.
4. Eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office of
Nepal Academy, Kamaladi, Kathmandu, Tel. No. : 01-4223069, email:
office@nepalacademy.gov.np may visit PPMO e-GP system www.bolpatra.gov.np/egp.
5. Bidder must submit their bid electronically may download the bidding documents for e-submission
from PPMO’s e-GP system www.bolpatra.gov.np/egp. Bidders submitting their bid electronically
should deposit the cost of Bid Document NRs. 5,000.0 (non refundable ) in the Account as specified
below :

6. Pre-bid meeting shall be held at Meeting Hall, Nepal Academy, Kamaladi on 2078-01-20 at 13:00
hours
7. Electronic bids must be submitted through PPMO’s e-GP system www.bolpatra.gov.np/egp on or
before 2078-01-30 12:00 at 12:00 hours. Bids received after this deadline will be rejected.
1. The bids will be opened in the presence of Bidders' representatives who choose to attend on 2078-01-
30 at 14:00 hours at the office of Nepal Academy, Kamaladi, Kathmandu. Bids must be valid for a
period of 120 days after bid opening and must be accompanied by scanned copy of the bid security in
pdf format in case of e-bid, amounting to a minimum of NRs. 24,00,000.00 ( Rupees Twenty Four
Lakhs only), which shall be valid for 30 days beyond the validity period of the bid. If the Bidder
wishes to submit the Bid Security in the form of cash, bidder has to deposit cash (upload the deposited
bank voucher in pdf form) in Account of Nepal Academy 010000002869524 NPR at Bank of
Kathmandu Ltd., Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu.
8. If the last date of purchasing and /or submission falls on a government holiday, then the next working
 day shall be considered as the last date. In such case the validity period of the bid security shall remain
the same as specified for the original last date of bid submission.
9. After the completion of Evaluation of Technical Bid, substantially responsive evaluated bidders will
be invited to attend the opening of Price Bids only. The date, time, and location of opening of Price
Bid shall be notified writing and /or published in national daily

10. Nepal Academy reserves every right to accept / reject any or all bids wholly or partially with or
without assigning any reason thereof.
