The interpretation of the result will be made in accordance with "Methodology for surveillance of acute respiratory syndrome
with the new coronavirus (COVID-19)" issued by INSP.
Negative results do not rule out SARS-CoV-2 infection and are not the only criteria for diagnosis,
treatment and other patient management decisions.
Positive results indicate the detection of viral RNA. Viral RNA can persist in secretions
even after the virus is no longer viable or infectious.
