2 Service mode tests
2.1 Introduction
Titrator DL15/DL22F&B

A distinction is made between the service function, which are available to the service specialist and
the functions in the System test menu (“I” key > System test), which enable the user to carry out a
simple maintenance unaided. The text in the “i” menu can be displayed in several languages,
whereas the service functions are only in English.
Service functions are used for checking, calibrating and adjusting of the titrator. The maintenance
functions are for verifying the proper operation of the instrument.

Please allow the instrument, the Digital Voltmeter a warm-up time of at least 30 minutes
before the testing and adjustment is carried out.

2.2 Auxiliary functions available via “i” key

By pressing the “i” key and selecting the “System test”, the maintenance menu is displayed, which
enables the user to perform a reduced range of service functions e.g.
• User interface
• Communication interface
• Auxiliary I/O
• pH Input
Note: the function keys and the four menu keys are inactive during the auxiliary functions are active.

2.3 Accessing Service menu

• Press the “i” key and select “Service”
• Press and hold the “shift” key and press “1” key: this will access the special characters.
• Select the “*” and confirm with “OK”. Repeat this step three times to generate an input of three
stars “***”.
• Confirm with “OK” to enter the Service menu.
The displayed service functions are used for:
• Technical check of the titrator
• Calibration and adjustment of the sensor inputs
• Adjustment of the burette drive
• Adjustment of the stopcock drive.
Note: Whereas the service mode is on, the function keys and the menu keys are inactive. During the
adjustment of the sensor inputs the “Esc” key is inactive.

2.4 Service functions in detail
