1. GETTING STARTED

The scale consist of weighing platform and TMC terminal. Another

solution is the possibility of connecting two platforms.

General information
− The intended use is to weigh goods with the possibility of tarring within
the full measuring range.

− Cooperation with a piece of software KTP NET 2003 allows to build a

net of scales. Program collects weighings from all scales in real time,

− You can start the procedure of control from the level of computer and
from the level of terminal.

PC software allows:

− Colecting weighings in the database,

− Colecting codes that characterise different data:
• Assortment code
• Operator code – (controling person)
• Batch quantity
• Batch number
• Start/Stop of control
− Defining codes of goods together with their individual description is
realized in the PC program KTP NET 2003.

Remarks concerning the save usage of scales

1. In case of weighing goods gathering electrostatic charge, connect the

weighing platform with the terminal housing via a conducting wire,

2. Power cords should be connected to a socket with zeroing / earthing.

3. Devices can fail while supplying from mains caring interference from
other devices.

4. Scales should be kept far away from devices emitting strong

electromagnetic waves because it can cause malfunction.

3. CONNECTING EXTERNAL DEVICES

All external devices should be connected to the terminal before powering
up. Connectors for additional devices are situated in the back side of the
terminal.

In case of connecting a barcode scanner it should have defined a prefix

and a suffix for the frame:
− prefix 01 (Hex)
− sufix 0D (Hex)
Other frames are not accepted by terminal software.

5. WEIGHING
Put a load on the scale pan. The result is ready to read after reaching
equilibrium (signalling diode marked by ).
After reading the result unload the pan. The indication returns to zero. For
two range scales switching between ranges appears automatically while
loading. The scale returns automatically to the first range accuracy after
returning to zero (autozero zone).
Weighing in the second range is signalled by a diode marked – >|2|<. If
after unloading the pan the indication is not zero press →0← key.

5.1. Tarring

For measuring the net mass of a load put a package/container on the pan
and press TARE (the display shows zero the signalling diode T is lit).

The maximal tare value can be equal to the maximal range.

A tare value is saved in non-volatile memory so it can be

remembered after powering down.

5.2. Zeroing

The zeroing range is within 4% of the maximal range around zero. If any
trial of zeroing is performed beyond the zeroing range –Err 2- appears on
the display.

Zeroing is meant as setting a new zero value for measurements,

but it is cancelled after powering down. It can be performed only in
equilibrium state.

6. GETTING STARTED
In order to adjust the scale for a specific conditions set filters to eliminate
vibrations, possible shocks.

There are to parameters for adjusting filtering:

− FILTER
It can be set as:
ƒ Very fast
ƒ Fast
ƒ Average
ƒ Slow

MEDIAN FILTER
This filter is intended to suppress single mechanical shocks. The higher
value of the filter the longer period of stabilisation.

You can enter parameters only when there is no communication:

− The PC software KTP NET is not running,
− Communication computer – terminal has been disabled another
way

Procedure:
− Press Info key
− You will see the menu of parameters:
