founded by two friends Upneet Grover and Hardik Thakkar. They started GetMyUni in February 2016.
They initially relied heavily on “word of mouth.” They had no proper investment or revenue to flourish.
Hence, they started campus ambassador, and it did well for them. “We created campus ambassador
programmes, strong referrals and in product marketing programmes and were lucky to have good word-of-
mouth going around. Most importantly, We were surprised by the number of students who were interested
in helping aspirants and hence wrote long, unbiased reviews,” says 29-year- old Upneet. They cannot
afford to rely on the scattered information that was available on other forums, so they decided to build a
team which could work on a personal front. It turned out to be a great move, and the startup began to get
stable. “We were making enough money to support the business till we finally got the funding of $50,000
from Tlabs. With that funding plus our revenues increasing month-on-month we’ve been able to scale to a
million users per month on the platform, something we are incredibly proud of,” says Upneet.
In India, GetMyUni has helped in revolutionizing and filling the space of college admissions. The
company enables the students by assisting them with picking the correct college by giving them
admittance to comprehensive information about colleges, reviews, providing a student connection
platform, forums, data points, and student ratings.
The company provides a one stop recruitment solution to the students searching colleges and various
details regarding the same. The company has stated that approximately 40M students visit the site and

3. INTERNSHIP SUMMARY

Internship Work Summary


The task given as an intern in GETMYUNI was to create contents and articles from the relevant and valuable information from day to
day. While working in as an intern I was provided training and workshop regarding the types of information or data that must be
collected and inculcated in an article. While doing the research and analysis I learned about the SEO analysis and what is content
marketing.
The company’s main aim was to provide important, valuable and resourceful data to the person’s seeking information about any
course or any information related to education.
Training was given by the company on the following areas –
1. What is SEO?
2. What is Content Marketing?
3. What is Digital marketing?
4. Why is SEO necessary?
5. How to do SEO analysis?
6. Types and importance of data

On the first day, as it was work from home, I had to interact with the team members online and accompanying that an induction
session was carried out to make understand the type of work that will be provided. In the induction session we were assigned the
jobs for the day and the first day was all about learning and doubt clearing for the interns. The next day we have to report to the
mentors who were assigned and those mentors will provide the task as required.
On the next day an article which was published earlier was provided and was given the task to update it with recent information and
data’s that were to be inculcated in the article and update it from the backend. I was given the access to the backend of GETMYUNI
website through which I have to do all the changes and update the article so that it could be published on the main site. Related to the
work done I had to submit a work report to the team on which I was evaluated and provided further guidance if needed.

4. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Methodology

This section looks at the methods used to achieve the objectives of the study. It highlights research design whether it’s an Exploratory
or Descriptive Research Design, the sources of data (Primary or Secondary Data) and the methods that were used in the data collection
(Online Platform, Mailing, Personal Interview, Questionnaire, Telephonic etc.) for the research. It also identifies the target population
for the study, the sample frame and size, sampling technique (Non-Probability / Probability) and how data obtained from the study
were analyzed (Data Analysis tools used).

Research Design

This research is an explanatory and a cross-sectional study that is mainly aimed at examining customer behavior in the education
industry. Explanatory research design is used to identify the new factors that are influencing customer perception on site usage for
educational information purposes to establish relationship that exists between factors to serve the customer in better way. According to
the objective of research or according to the research design researcher should identify research technique for data collection if its
qualitative research (Exploratory Research) researcher collect data from Focus group discussion, In-depth Interview, Brain Storming,
Field Observation, Self Study etc.. If it’s quantitating research type (Descriptive research) researcher should adopt questionnaire
approach to collect the data.
Target Population

The target population provides the overall context and represents the collection of information’s about the people availing services which
inferences and estimates are desired. According to this all customers who have been using the services for at least one year. The
respondent may be from different places and backgrounds.

Sample Frame

A sampling frame is a list of all the items in your population. It’s a complete list of everyone or everything you want to study. The
difference between a population and a sampling frame is that the population is general and the frame is specific.

Sample Size

Owing to the fact that, the population was too large and was unknown to the researchers at the time of the study the data was collected
from the visitors that had visited the company’s website to gather the information.

Sampling Techniques

Sampling may be done either a probability or a non-probability basis. This is an important research design decision, and one which
will depend on such factors as whether the theory behind the research is positivist or idealist, whether qualitative or quantitative
methods are used etc. Note that the two methods are not mutually exclusive, and may be used for different purposes at different points
in the research.
In this research, researcher opts for purposive sampling technique as a non- probability sampling was used as the technique for the
research. This method was selected to enable the researchers to target customers who were in position to provide the information
needed for the study.

Data Collection

For the purpose of collecting data, a well-designed questionnaire was used which collected the data of the validated customer who
seeks information regarding the education purposes.

Data Analysis Tools

Use SPSS software for data analysis and Interrupt the data, Descriptive Statistics, use cross tabulation, or Chi Square, and ANOVA.

the company through word of mouth communication.
6. SUGGESTION (IF ANY)

 For increasing its sale company should increasing its marketing plans for awareness program because 44% of respondents
are not aware of marketing plans adopted by company to increase customer awareness and the company must require the
niche market in order to attract the customers.
 22% of the respondents feel that services available at company are of high prices so company has to make reasonable price
to its entire customer.
 Proper advertisement through the print media that is newspaper. TV and internet to be made a source of media for promoting
the services.

7. CONCLUSION
The consequence of the examination showed that client mindfulness program is vital for Instructive Administrations and
consultancies on the grounds that there is gigantic rivalry in the current market. Also, I infer that client mindfulness about
GetMyUni Instructive Consultancy is acceptable yet at the same time need to improve as the greater part of the client don't know
about the item and administrations offered by the organization and the vast majority of the respondents feel that organization needs
to build its promoting plans.
