Good morning/afternoon/evening and welcome to our session.
Thanks for taking the time to join us and to talk about water treatment plant that is planned to be installed on the bank of Jamuna river. My name is ______________ and assisting me is ____________. As you already know Govt of Bangladesh is planning to install a water treatment plant in Sirajganj region by the river jamuna that will have a capacity of 225,000 m3/d to meet the daily water demand of this region. This project will acquire cultivable land area of 22 acre. The goal of the study is to find deficiency in current water supply system, ground water availability and your expectation from this new project. We would also like to hear about your concerns about land acquisition and environmental impact from this project. Without further delay let’s begin our session.
