Return from entry sub-menu to previous level/home page:

Use the “Return to” link below the title of the present page or
use the “Goes to the previous view” button of the Acrobat toolbar.

Return from a document to a previous entry sub-menu:

Close the document(s) with “File”, “Close” or “Ctrl+W” or
Use the “Goes to the previous view” button in the Acrobat toolbar.
To avoid many clicks simply close the window and you will be back in the
startup document with the content as bookmarks on the left side.
To use this possibility you have to modify the settings in Acrobat Reader:
- Select “Preferences” in the “File” menu
- Select “General”
- Deactivate “Open Cross-Doc Links in Same Window”

Search in the active document

- Select “Tools” > “Search”.
- Enter the required word in the “Find” dialog window and click the
additional options, if necessary.
- Confirm by clicking on “Find”. Acrobat Reader only searches
within the currently active document.

To perform a full-text search (e.g. for the entire CD-ROM):

- Select “Edit” > “Search” > “Query”.
- Type the text you want to search for in the “Find Results
Containing Text” box
- Select “Search”. The “Search” dialog box is hidden, and
documents that match your search query are listed in the “Search
Results” window in order of relevancy
- Double-click a document that seems likely to contain the relevant
information, probably the first document in the list. The document
opens on the first match for the text you typed.
- Click the “Search Next” or “Search Previous” to go to other
matches in the document. Or select another document to view.
- Last Search Result
Select “Tools” > “Search” > “Results” or click the “Search
Results” button to redisplay the list at a later time. The list
remains available unchanged until a new search term is entered in
the “Adobe Acrobat Search” dialog window.
