Grenada Scholarship Application

Award: Seven Scholarships ($500.00 USD each) to be awarded for the upcoming academic year.

Purpose of Scholarship:

To assist secondary and tertiary school students with academic expenses for the academic school year. A total
of seven scholarships will be awarded as follows: one student from each of the six parishes in Grenada, one
student from Carriacou/Petite Martinique. For each of the students from the parish, his or her permanent
residence and address must be from the specified parish.

Eligibility:

• Applicant must be either a secondary or tertiary education student.

• Applicant must be registered as a full-time student.
• Applicant must demonstrate a need for the scholarship.
• Tertiary applicant must have defined career goals.

Deadline:

Application package for the current school year must be completed and received by GHA NO LATER THAN
NOVEMBER 30TH. The selected scholarship winners will be announced in January.
GHA accepts scholarship applications from April 1st - November 30th of each year.
The seven scholarships to the students from each parish will be provided to the Ministry of Education in
Grenada in the student’s name. The Ministry of Education will hold an award ceremony to present the
scholarships to the students.

Complete Application Packet Must Include the Following:

1. A 250 –300 word, hand-written or typed essay on applicant’s career goals and economic need
2. A completed, legible scholarship application form
3. Two letters of reference from current or former teachers
4. Copy of official transcripts/certificates
