Emcee 2: May we invite everyone to stand for the singing of the Philippine National Anthem

Emcee 1: Thank you and you may now take your seats.

Emcee2: Last June 24, 2021, former president Benigno Aquino III passed away due to renal disease
secondary to diabetes. He was only 61 years old. PNoy as everyone fondly called him,
served as the 15th President of the Philippines.

Emcee1: Looking back when the former President took his first walk into Malacañang seemed to
look like no baggage but brought home the heavy loads of the country he led.

Emcee 2: PNoy contributed notable programs and projects under his administration, such as the
economic growth of the country, poverty alleviation programs, and many more. He is
considered the most low-key President of his time, an orphan, and a bachelor.

Emcee 1: His death is not a defeat, but rather a celebration of his meaningful life offered to his
countrymen in the name of public service.

Emcee 2: Good afternoon everyone. I am James L. Loresto

Emcee 1: And I am Angella Averilla. Today we commemorate and honor the legacy of the late
president Benigno Aquino III. And we welcome you to….

before us.
