As a teacher I truly understand the mental aspect of every students especially we are now in a

pandemic crisis but in most people’s life, there is a time that one sometimes ponders if
continuing education is worth the time and money. Perhaps an opportunity presented itself that
forces us to decide if we should stop or continue the education. While continuing our education
may not be exciting compared to other things in life, but the benefits are life-long.

The education sector understands that So, they’re taking this opportunity to reshape the way we
teach our children. The pandemic is far form over and who knows what other crises we might
still be facing so though it’s a laborious task this is a way for the Philippines to build the schools
of the future.

As a teacher it is important for us to continue the education of every student’s despite of the
crisis that we have experiencing right now. For me, it is very important to pursue their education
right now despite of the pandemic because after this crisis someday they will have an
opportunity to search or look for more jobs immediately because they continue their studies
during this pandemic.

For me I think, this pandemic is not the reason for every student to stop their studies because if
we have a dream for our future, we should not waste the opportunity to study right now. They
said “Time is Gold” and for me that’s true. We should not make this crisis as an excuse to stop
the studies of our students it’s because if you don’t want there is a reason but if you want there is
a way. So, let’s not encourage the Academic freeze because Education is very important
especially to those students who are starting to learn what is real world all about.

Learning is essential to our existence. Just like food nourishes our bodies, information and
continued learning nourishes our minds. ... Today, continuous learning forms a necessary part in
acquiring critical thinking skills and discovering new ways in life.

Children have a right to access education even in times of emergencies such as the COVID-19
pandemic. According to Dr. Atty. Alberto Muyot, Chief Executive Officer of Save the
Children Philippines, he said that *We share the concerns of parents and guardians that
children must continue learning, but should remain protected from exposure to COVID-19*,
There will always a way if all of us willing to do what is right. That’s why our government
urges support for parents and guardians in delivering new adaptive learning methods to ensure
children continue to learn, and remain protected from COVID-19. The government right now
making a way on how to make the internet faster for the students so that they don’t worry
about the internet connection for their online classes.

My question is what will happen to our young children let say age 7 -10 if there is an
academic freeze? Those ages, their mind starting to learn in life. And I think if there is an
Academic freeze, there is a possibility that they will learn nothing. And if this crisis continues
for many more years. What will be the future of our students?

As a member of the proposition in this debate. I strongly consider that we must continue the
Education despite of this crisis.
