My first day of immersion

I felt nervous because l'm thinking for some instances that I could experience in the field
and there is also the addition of fear because I was assigned on the municipal hall of Sta. Ana
where the person who has the authority are striving to their fullest for the goodness of their
place. Upon finding our room where I'm going to have a duty, I can't resist to be scared of
someone who's walking right next to me because I'm not familiar and I don't know the faces of
the officials in that building but I have one and that is MAYOR NORBERTO G. GAMBOA.

When I first entered to our room our trainer instructed us to bring a laptop on next
Wednesday, because Sir Francis said that we are going to encode some information regarding
to those sick people, single parents and People with Disability or PWD. After that they also
asked some of my classmates if we are willing to observe the pre-marriage counseling with the
6 couples 3 officials of the municipality and I volunteered with Soren and Charlene. There are a
lot of things that we had learned in that room and one of those is that marriage is not just a
ceremony but it is a promise not just on one another but especially in GOD, and also they
discussed the sense of having a baby, they said that when the woman is pregnant she will not
just the only one who suffer for it but also the man that will serve as the guardian of mother
and child. On that counseling one of my questions to myself had already answered and the
question is that, while a woman is pregnant is she can still have a sex with his husband and
Doctora said yes because having a sex will never affect your pregnancy, after that they taught
those couples on how to take care of their babies before and after giving birth.

I was grateful because all throughout the process of counseling instead of the
facilitators would only focus on those couples, they also pointing us and teaching us, especially
the head of MSWD Ma'am ROSSANA SANGA through her speech I realize so many things
because they are all based in the way how we live our life. Then, our next destination was in our
office wherein we are going to encode such information and it took almost 2 hours and while
we are encoding our trainers told us to have our early lunch and I was so thankful for that, and
then after, we continued that encoding in almost 3 hours and after that we helped the staff to
decorate the municipal hall for the preparation for Christmas. On our last 30mins. We waited
for Ma'am ROSSANA she asked me, Soren and Charlene if we learned a lot about the counseling
session and we said yes ma’am we have learned a lot and that's it. What a day was that another
accomplishment but that is just a first day, there are a lot of works that are ahead of us on our
next duty.
