    SIMPLE PAST TENSE

    Digunakan untuk menceritakan kejadian di masa lalu dalam waktu tertentu.


    Keterangan waktu: yesterday, ago dan last.

    RUMUS

    I.Subject + Verb 2 + Object ( Kalimat Positif)


    Contoh
    I played guitar last night
    She wrote an email yesterday
    We fed the cat two hours ago.
    II. Subject +Was/Were + Adjective/Adverb (Kalimat Positif)
    Contoh:
    My friends were happy at the party last night.
    Judith was a singer ten years ago
    The trees were high
    III. Subject + Did/Was/Were + Not + Verb 1 + Object (Kalimat negative)
    Contoh:
    I did not play guitar last night.
    She did not write an email yesterday
    My friends were not happy at the party last night
    Judith was not a singer ten year ago.
    IV. Did + Subject + Infinitive Verb + Object + ? dan Was/Were + Subject + Adjective/Adverb + ?
    Contoh
    Did you play guitar last night?
    Did she write an email yesterday?
    Were they happy?
    Was she a singer ten years ago?
    V. WH Questions
    Contoh:
    What did you play yesterday?
    Who wrote an email yesterday?
    When did she write the email?
    Where were you last night?
    Why did they come late last week?
    How high were the trees?
