    Simple Pastmerupakan bagian dari past tense yang biasanya dipakai/digunakan untuk menyatakan kejadian/aktivitas yang sudah lampau. Rumus Verbal Simple Past Tense: (+) S + V-2 + O (-) S + did + not +V-1 + O (?) Did + S + V-1 + O ? Contoh kalimat : (+) 1. They played badminton yesterday 2. I went to surabaya yesterday 3. My cousin came here last month (-) 4. He did not write letter to his friend yesterday (-) 5. She did not go to Jakarta last week Rumus Nominal Simple Past (+) S + was/were + 3 complement (-) S + was/were + not + 3 complement (?) Was/were + S + 3 complement ? Nb: 3 complement (A N A, Adjective, Noun, Adverb) Was = digunakan untuk subjek I, She, He, It, John, Marry were = digunakan untuk subjek You, They, We Contoh kalimat 1. They were happy yesterday (Mereka bahagia kemarin) 2. We were not busy yesterday (Mereka tidak bahagia kemarin) 3. I was not angry with you yesterday 4. She was really tired after work last night 5. The student were really busy last semester
