SIMPLE PAST TENSE

DEFENISI

Simple Past Tense adalah kalimat tenses yang

digunakan untuk menyatakan kejadian yang
terjadi di masa lampau dan telah berakhir di masa
lampau.
RUMUS
Untuk membentuk kalimat Simple Past Tense, Rumus nya
adalah :

A. Kalimat verbal
rumus : Subject + Verb 2

B. Kalimat Nominal
Rumus:
We/you/they + were + bukan kata kerja(adjective/noun)
I/he/she/It + was + bukan kata kerja
RUMUS SIMPLE PAST TENSE
(+) S + Verb 2 + O

(-) S + did + not + verb 1

atau
S + To Be (was/were ) + not

(?) Did + S + Verb 1

atau
Was/Were + S
Example
1. (+) she wanted to go to the cinema yesterday.
(-) she didn’t want go to the cinema yesterday.
(?) did she want go to the cinema yesterday ?

2. (+) I planned my summer holiday last week

(-) I didn’t plan summer holiday last week
(?) did you go to summer holiday last week ?

3. (+) when I gave him a candy, he stopped crying.

(-) If I didn’t give him a candy, he would cry.

4. (+) Teena started school when she was four.
