COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course will explore sociological and psychological perspective on
management. It will also introduce students to basic aspects of planning and strategic
decision-making. Basically it will tackle the evolution of management theories,
management functions and practices, strategic management planning and multi-cultural
management techniques, among others.

The PCU/GSBM Vision/Mission and values are integrated in the course.

OBJECTIVES/VALUES:

At the end of the course, the students are expected to:


 know the concepts and importance of management and organization;
 appreciate the adoption of the organization resources in the performance of
management functions;
 implement the effective processes in decision-making, considering the different
leadership styles;
 analyze and evaluate the different approaches on motivation
 have integrated PCU values in their learning
