CREATIVE WRITING FINAL TASK

This final exam is designed with you and your many talents in mind. We are
all different types of learners and we all have very different interests. You
get to decide which part of this exam appeals to you as a learner and which
part of this exam you want to throw away.
Here are the rules.

 You must complete Stations 1-4 of this Task.

 Submitting a plagiarized work will mean failure this entire

quarter. Once your work, in whole or in part, has been lifted from
the internet or was done by someone else, you will—without prior
notice—see a failing mark in your Creative Writing class grade.

 Erase all instructions in this file and only submit a word

document containing the appropriate headings, prompts or
questions and your output.

I. Station One: Art

II. Station Two: Music
III. Station Three: Show Don’t tell.
IV. Station Four: Poetry

Note: Only station two and four may be written in Filipino.

English is required for stations one and three.

Your grade will be based on the following criteria:

1. Effort and creativity- 30pts

(Is the output neat and pleasing to look at? Does it show effort and
creativity on the part of the student? Are all requirements met? To
what extent?)

2. Innovation and originality- 30pts

(Is the output the student’s original work? Is the language he/she used
in the same level as his/her previous outputs? Is there an attempt to
think outside the box and be unique? Is the output revealing of careful
thinking and preparation?)
3. Focus -20pts
(Did the student stick to the prompt? Does it show organization and
coherence? Did he/she try to achieve organic unity?)

4. Language use-20pts
(Is the language appropriate? Are there no grammatical or punctuation
errors? Is the language use reflective of learning and application of CW
lessons?)

Have fun, but remember it is an important grade

and needs to be taken seriously.
Be creative and enjoy!
Creative Writing Final Task Station One: Art

For this station, use the artwork displayed as inspiration for your writing.
You can create a poem, journal entry, free-flow of thought, short story or
flash fiction. Use the color, textures, images, shapes, and images for
inspiration.
Creative Writing Final Task Station 2-Music

As you listen to the music, concentrate on to the melody and beat and let it
inspire you to write. Possibly think about the musician, what the music
means to you or others. Maybe make up words to go with the music. If this
music does not inspire you, write about music that does inspire you.
