The number of teenage pregnancy cases in the country has been

doubling-up in the midst of the ongoing distraught brought by

education. The project BagongBuhay offers teen parents new
another chance at life. It gives a choice between a scholarship
grant or a workshop.
The scholarship grant is handed over teen parents so that they might have a chance
to continue their education. Meanwhile the workshop is a livelihood program for
teen parents. It teaches them key skills to be applied to jobs so that they can make a
living and support their family.
The pandemic has destroyed many lives and still doesn’t stop
wrecking havoc, making us inch further away from the normalcy Elderly
we once had. One of its greatest victim are the elderly. Most of people living
them suffered almost a year of isolation. They are unable to see in poverty
their families because they are the most vulnerable targets, or do
the things they enjoy such as going to church. But the pandemic
also brought light to the problems that are plaguing the safety of
our elderlies. One of it is poverty.
Generational poverty and often being overlooked by the system are just some of the
issues that continue to push our elderly to work more or suffer in poverty. Some of
them have no stable financial source to spend on their medications. Mano Po is a
program that involves showing love to elders by giving them a pack of supplies they
need. These elderly people, especially those who live in poverty, aren’t capable of
supporting themselves; nor most of the time they have their families to tend them.
This program aims to bring comfort to elderly Filipinos. It does this by giving them
monthly ration of grocery, supplements and medications. In this way elderly people
don’t have to worry and live their lives comfortably and safely.
The nationwide effort to control the effects of the pandemic has

Due to the implementation of various lockdowns and health
Bankruptcy restrictions, small businesses were limited. Even now that the
of small restrictions are easing off, restaurants and food chains are still
businesses regulated at 75% capacity. Numerous businesses went bankrupt.
In response to this crisis, the program Tulong Kapwa aims to
help small business owners to revive their business. It offers
loan programs and a weekly weekend bazaar wherein they can
showcase their businesses and give them a kickstart. It also
plans to give cash assistance for employees that are left jobless.

Even before the pandemic, Filipino farmers were already facing


difficulties to support their families. The passing of the Rice The ongoing
crisis in the
Tariffication Law plus the numerous typhoons that plagued the agricultural
country made it almost impossible to make a living out of the section of
small farmers’ income. In addition to this, the pandemic also the country
gravely affected our farmers. I made a plan to make sure that
our farmers will receive the treatment they deserve. After all
years of hard work and enduring the rotten system that never
cared for them, farmers are justified to obtain all the support
that they need. The plan will enable them to join loan programs
that will not cost them huge amounts of payment. Their children
will also be entitled to scholarship programs. Lastly, small
farmers can acquire professional help for supplies or services to
support their business.
