Pictures – Chives, Juniper CROSS STITCH


Cross stitch is worked in two stages – first work the lower stitch (from left to
YARN USAGE right) and then work the upper stitch (from right to left).
Anchor Stranded Cotton, worked with 2 strands (outline/backstitch just 1
strand).

STITCH TECHNIQUE
Cross stitch worked over 2 fabric threads each way, backstitch.

FABRIC
Chives picture approx. 40 x 55 cm and Juniper picture approx. 35 x 40 cm
green evenweave fabric (112 threads/10 cm)

NOTIONS
1 picture frame for each.

ALL YOU NEED TO DO BACKSTITCH


Neaten all raw edges of the fabric with zigzag stitch. Following the chart, Backstitch is worked from right to left. Bring the needle up through the
