St. Patrick’s Day arrives on Wednesday, Marth 17th. In spite of all of the stories and myths
about St. Patrick, he was a remarkable Christian. Because of his ministry of preaching
with signs, wonders and miracles, he became the Apostle to Ireland. He was born in
Scotland, kidnapped around the age of 16 and shipped to Ireland as a slave where he was
sent to the mountains as a shepherd and spent a lot of time in prayer. After 6 years, he
was commanded by an angel to return to Britain where he studied for the ministry, and
then he was sent as an evangelist to England first, and then to Ireland. In 33 years, he
effectively converted Ireland. When it was said that “he drove the snakes out of Ireland”,
the snakes were really the devil (Rev. 12:9; 20:2), demons (Mk. 16:17) and other religions (Eph. 6:12), namely
Druidism, which led people to hell.
However, as in all countries, they have come back. When Patrick started his ministry in Ireland, there were
virtually no Christians there, but when he died, it was effectively a Christian nation. This was accomplished
by learning to literally “pray with the Spirit” and “with the mind” (1 Cor. 14:14-15); “pray at all times in the
Spirit” (Eph. 6:18); “pray constantly” (1 Thess. 5:17), and to “pray in the Spirit” (Jude 1:20). One time he was
asked how many times he prayed that day, and he replied, “Over a hundred times!”
Salvation and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit equip us with the “gift of speaking in tongues” (in Greek - the
gift of other national languages) so we can have God’s “new communications system” (Jn. 16:7-15). Only
then can the Holy Spirit guide us 24 hours a day as we speak and pray in tongues, and in our own languages.
But, first and foremost, Jesus made it clear why we needed the Baptism of the Holy Spirit: “But you shall
receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all
Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).
On the Day of Pentecost, we see the results when 120 people, baptized with
the Holy Spirit, went into the streets of Jerusalem speaking in tongues and
When we change 3,000 people were saved. That can only happen today, once we recognize
people with the through Lenten, that the Cross of Calvary and Easter must be empowered by
the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Then we can see the same results that Ireland

comes together.
Canada, the U.S.A. and all countries are in a similar position today and even
(2 Cor. 5:17)
more so as the covid-19 pandemic continues to impact people lives. Today it
can be said as it was said of Israel, “In those days there was no king in Israel:
every man did which was right in his own eyes” (Ju. 17:6; 21:25).
The “turning away” from Christian values and morals are a result of the unfaithfulness of Christians who do
not witness to other people nor preach the Gospel. “And there is Salvation in no one else, for there is no
other name (Jesus), under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts. 4:12). Our world
and nations are changed with every Salvation, with every Baptism of the Holy Spirit, with every healing, and
with every sign, wonder and miracle. When we change people with the Gospel, our world comes together (2
Cor. 5:17).
“And there is Salvation in no one else, for there is no other name (Jesus), under heaven given
among men by which we must be saved” (Acts. 4:12).
“A LITTLE TESTIMONY!” (REV. 12:11)
At the conclusion of an Evangelical Church Alliance Ministry Fellowship of Canada’s Convention Ordination
Service, a young man in his 30's had asked me, “Can I share a little testimony with you?” He told me that
during the ministry time at the end of one Sunday evening church service, (previous to the convention
meeting service), I had prayed with him and his wife to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Both had
received tongues. We had also prayed for healing of his hearing. He did not have an ear drum in his left ear.
Not long after, he went to see his doctor who looked into his ear and told him that an ear drum had suddenly
grown! “Look inside my ear and you can see it” he turned his head towards me with excitement. I looked in
his ear and saw the new ear drum! We gave praise and thanks to Jesus for his miracle healing. He now hears
clearly in his left ear (Mk. 7:35). Then we prayed and asked Jesus to heal anything else in his body that
needed healing and thanked Jesus for his miracle in advance. Then he fell to the floor praying in his tongue’s
language (Lk. 17:15-16).

“PRAISE REPORTS FROM GWEA FB PRAYER GROUP” (JA. 5:16; JN. 14:14)
"We are praising Jesus for the reclining chair that was offered so quickly after our son broke his arm. He
only had to sleep one night (a long, painful night) in his bed with many pillows for support. The very next day
he was offered the recliner for free by a family friend. Praise Jesus, he slept much better and with much less
pain! Then on Feb 19th, the specialist reported that he can now start using his arm a little! No need for
surgery! Thank you Jesus!” Please continue to pray for complete healing and restoration. J.B.
“My cousin Bernice waited to get a call from Sunnybrook Hospital to get surgery for the cancer in her lymph
nodes. She believed that the peace she felt is because of all your prayers. She heard back from her surgery
on January 28th that all went well. She is now at home recovering. Please pray for her protection from
infection and that her incision will heal quickly. Thank you for praying. Jesus is our healer and comforter in
times of stress.” R.W.
“I want to thank everyone for praying for my sister-in-law, Heather who had a heart attack and was in the
hospital. Tests were done to determine whether or not to do a stent operation. The results showed that she
had a heart attack but the blockage was not enough to do stents. She is returning home with medications to
hopefully dissolve the blockages. God has answered prayers because my brother said they were talking
about open heart surgery at first and she hasn't needed that or needed the stents either. Thank you again! I
am so thankful we are a part of this prayer group! God bless you all!” E.B.
“Andrew who was in an almost fatal car accident back in December and was on life support, is now out of
the hospital! Praise the Lord! Praise God for his miracle of keeping him alive. The nurses told him that he
should not be here. He is a real miracle due to all your prayers. God answers our prayer. On Jan 22/21 Andrew
went into Rehab for a couple of weeks for his cognitive/mobility therapies. Please continue to pray for full
healing and recovery and for salvation and baptism of the Holy Spirit for Andrew, Ariel and Marcus. Andrew
thanks you all for your prayers. May God richly bless you.” A.M.
“One of our member’s daughter, Michelle has been working very hard six days a week, ten hours a day
assisting seniors. She had tested positive with covid and was very sick. She was rushed to hospital by
ambulance because of severe symptoms. After praying later that day, she was able to go home and is now
doing much better. Praise the Lord! Thank you for praying. Please continue to pray for her.” R.W.
“A wonderful lady, Charmaine was at home with covid after serving in a Weyburn nursing home. After praying
for her she says she's feeling so much better, and almost back to normal. She said she's so thankful for
prayer from this group. Thank you friends! God is answering prayers in abundance! Thank you Jesus!” J.V.
“My daughter’s best friend, Jan was very sick for 3-4 days and had a long list of nasty symptoms. She was
admitted into hospital with pneumonia and tested positive for covid. After 2 weeks we heard that her hubby
and 2 daughters also tested positive, but were asymptomatic. Jan had the worst of the symptoms but she
finally went home and is much better now and so is her family.” Thank you all for your prayers. L.Q.
“ONLINE HOLY SPIRIT-LED MEETINGS” (JN. 14:16; 1 COR. 3:16; ACTS 1:8)
The Lord encourages us in our zoom meetings continually, telling each of us that we are unique; that we
have different ministries; and that He provides the Holy Spirit to guide us, provided that we listen to Him in
all things. Jesus tells us to trust Him with our whole heart. (Prov. 3:5-6)
One member reported that she prayed for her Christian neighbour after she slipped on the ice and hurt her
head and the neighbour immediately felt better. The man we reported on who was severely injured and doing
physiotherapy last month is recovering nicely and his nurses say, “He’s a walking miracle!” We are praying
for a member who had heart issues the last few months and she had a great report from the cardiologist. She
won’t need an operation! Thank you Lord!
Another member recently had fallen backwards into her tub and hit her head. She prayed in tongues until
someone came to help her. We prayed for her for a couple weeks and her sister reported that she was
improving. She was well enough to be at our zoom meeting to tell us herself how much better she felt. Praise
Jesus! The mother of one of our younger members requested prayer to help find their lost rabbit. When we
looked to Jesus for help the result came quickly, the boy’s rabbit was found.
Some of our members have various afflictions. We received a particular “word” at several of our meetings:
“Step forward, don’t take ownership of an affliction. It is something the evil one is trying to slow you down
or stop you. I am your God, your Deliverer, and your Saviour.” Another member had a dull pain in his lower
chest/upper stomach. He was prayed for in several meetings and recently gave a praise report saying that he
no longer has the pain! God encourages us continually saying, “Your troubles are not too great to handle, I
am the God who will deliver you, uphold you, and sustain you. I am a powerful God and I have given you
power” (Jn. 4:14; Acts 2:28; 15:8; 11:17; 1 Cor. 2:12; Gal. 3:5; Lk. 11:13).
NOTE: Everyone is welcome to all zoom meetings! Zoom into our “Praise & Encouragement”
