Rationale/Background

This research examines the contributions of the

informal organizations within the management of General de

Jesus College. The research design that was used in this

study is a qualitative case study. The respondents were

composed of individuals from the three departments of

General de Jesus College (Administration Department,

Academic Affairs Department, and Finance Department) aging

from 20 to 60 years old and serving the school for at least

five years to thirty years and above. The data used for this

study included both primary and secondary. Oral interview

was used to gather the primary information and supported by

the written interviews (questionnaires). Qualitative

analysis is used to interpret the data. From the study, it

was evident that informal organizations greatly contribute

to the management of General de Jesus College. The workers

who are actively participating and communicating with the

informal groups increased their capacity to work well and to

be more productive in their workplace. We, the researchers,

recommend the management of General de Jesus College to

allow more and encourage the formation of informal

organizations within the formal structure. Also, the

management can do more activities to enhance the

relationships among employees.
