POSITION TITLE: Electrical Technician

REPORTS TO: Plant Manager

1. Main purpose of the job:

To assist in the maintenance of electrical equipment and instrumentation in production of tri-

cycle vehicle.

2. Main responsibilities:

2.1 Undertake routine maintenance of electrical equipment and instrumentation in accordance

with the planned maintenance schedule.

2.2 Carry out fault finding to detect and repair any electrical faults on equipment or
instrumentation or tri-cycle motor vehicle.

2.3 Assist in producing the maintenance schedule for electrical equipment and instrumentation.

2.4 Supervise external contractors and internal workers as required.

2.5 Carry out all work within the agreed budgetary and time limits.

2.6 Advise other maintenance personnel on any electrical systems and other technical issues
beyond their scope.

2.7 Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company safety rules and health and
safety legislation.

2.8 Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant occupational health and
safety standards.

3. Knowledge, skills and experience required

The job requires:

 a TVET 2 level education;

 an experience in electrical maintenance of motor vehicles, and to comply with health and
safety regulations;
 an ability to work as part of a team.
