COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course enables the engineering students to describe the basics of electronics, troubleshoot basic electronic circuits, and read schematic diagrams. The students can create
basic electronic circuits & projects, read circuit diagrams, and repair basic electronic circuits. This course includes the introduction to electronic circuit devices and models, diodes
and applications, bipolar junction transistors (BJT), transistor bias circuits, and power amplifiers.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES:

At the end of the course, the engineering students are expected to:
1. Familiarize the principles, operations, and constructions of a diode and its particular types. (CO1)
2. Analyze diode circuits and transistor circuits and explain their respective functions and operations. (CO2)
3. Design and layout diode circuits that would answer specific needs. (CO3)
4. Explore the differences and similarities between diode and transistor and get acquainted with the basic configurations of a transistor circuit. (CO4)
5. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and working as an individual or as a team member. (CO5)
