What is Wix?

Wix provides customizable website

templates and a drag-and-drop HTML5 web
site builder that includes apps, graphics,
image galleries, fonts, vectors, animations
and other options. Users also may opt to
create their web sites from scratch.
Brief History

Wix was founded in 2006 by Israeli developers Avishai

Abrahami, Nadav Abrahami, and Giora Kaplan.
Headquartered in Tel Aviv, Wix was backed by
investors Insight Venture Partners, Mangrove Capital
Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners, DAG Ventures,
and Benchmark Capital.
Steps in Creating Simple Website with Wix
Mobile App
Step 1
Download Wix App from
Google Play store or IOS
store
Step 2
Select login option, in my Select your website
case I choose Facebook. category

Select portfolio
Step 4

Select blogs for

add ons to your
website

Type your
domain name.
Your domain
name must be
your name
followed by your
last name. E.g.
tomdelacruise

Pick your
desired Theme.
Then click create
button below

Your are now
redirected to
your Wix
dashboard. Your
websites will
appear on your
dashboard, to
setup your site
click dashboard
link.
 Step 9
On your website dashboard you
have 3 tabs: Overview, Manage and
Setup. The overview tab outputs
your post engagements and
analytics while setup tab lets you
setup your blog post, etc. and
finally the manage tabs to edit your
site. To start editing your site click
on Website panel.

Now click on Edit

website button to start
editing

Click on Pages tab

below to edit pages on
your site.
Step 12 You can
Click Home to
delete the
edit sections
irrelevant
section to
your site,
rename it and
edit the
content. You
can also add
section by
simply clicking
the plus sign
button

You can directly
update images
and text on your
website by
clicking
Manage Section
button without
clicking pages
tab.

Replace your
section image by
clicking replace
button. You need
to click the Media
radio button to
enable the replace
image. You can
upload new image
from your file.
After replacing
image click done.
Note: After editing
some content in
your site don’t
forget to click Done
button to save
changes on your
site.

Replace your
personal logo by
clicking the 3 lines
icon.
Step 16
Once your done
editing your site
you can now
Publish and view it
online. Click the
view link to visit
your website.
