-is an information system on the internet
that allows documents to be connected
to other documents by hypertext
link,enabling the user search for
information by moving from one
document to another
-was invented by Tim-Berners Lee.

TYPES OF WORLD WIDE WEB
1. WEB1.
-It is the first stage of the World Wide
Web evolution. It is flat or stationary
page since it cannot be manipulated by
the user.
-Web1.0 is a term coined to differentiate
the first stage of the world wide web
(www)
-At the beginning of the www, there were
very few web content creators and many
of them were so called “read only web”
(there is no interaction)
-At this state, the web pages were static
(No movement) meaning you can readthe
textbook and look at the photos but the
users could not interact.
-The feedback was thru private email and
direct comment was not available.
2. WEB 2.0 or Dynamic Web Pages
-The internet has been a vital tool to our
modern lives that is why it is also
important to make the best of the
Internet
-When the world wide web was invented,
most web pages were static. Static (also
known as plat page or stationary page) in
the sense that the page is “as is’ and
cannot be manipulated by the user. The
content is also the same for all users. This
is reffered to as the Web 1.0. A static
website contains web pages with fixed
content.Each page is encoded in HTML
and displays the same information in
every visitor.
3. Web 3.0
-Will process data and information based
on users needs
For example:facebook notifies you when,
“someone posted a photo that might
include you”
“someone is trying to access your account
