Activity #1: I AM & I AM NOT
No. I am… No.
1 I am a creative person I have many attributes such as openness
to new experiences, observance, curiosity, personal freedom, a
willingness to take risks, self-reliance, persistence and the
freedom from fear of failure.
2 I am a passionate person because being a passionate person
who knows what he/she wants can bring excitement, joy, and a
sense of true purpose to your life.
3 I am a good listener because being a good listener is a key to
communication, it builds good relationships, learn new things, and
it shows maturity and respect to who you are communication
with.
4 I am Responsible. We need to be responsible for ourselves
before we can be responsible for others. In learning to be more
responsible it is important that we know our limitations.
5 I am Faithful. The most important aspect of being faithful to God
is to have faith in that fact that all things will work out for one
's good. Romans 8:28 states, “And we know that all things work
together for good to them that love God, to them who are the
called according to his purpose.” Having faith in God is essential.
I am not…
1 I am not perfect. Never assume that someone is “perfect” by just
looking at them. Some people have made a lot of mistakes just to
get where they are now. There is always room to make mistakes,
and to learn, and to work hard, and even to grow as a person.
Everyone has made a mistake in their life, no one has learned
everything the world has to offer them.
2 I am not fear. Our lives are significantly formed by fears. We
cannot escape from the experience of fear and pain. Everyone
has their own fears but no matter how people look at it, they all
overcome their apprehensions.
3 I am not a Liar. According to Kant, lying does not accord with the
duty and therefore would not be morally worthy. That the
person’s motive is to simply follow their duty and not indulge in
themselves. Kant believed lying was always wrong.
4 I am not Rude. When people are being rude, they are revealing
who they are as a person in life. They are weak-minded. This
shows how little their minds are and how they are working
because only know how to be rude and disrespectful.
5 I am not Insecure. Many would agree that insecurities are a part
of our everyday life, but it’s just a matter of how we overcome
them and make them some of our least problems. Our
insecurities seem to get the best of us when we feel like life’s
dragging us into this black hole we’ve never been to.
