WELCOME AND INTRODUCTION

TOPE: Welcome, everyone! Thank you for joining us for today’s webinar. My name is
Christopher Pantoja from the BSCE3-LEP−

SHYLA: −and I’m Ansherina Shyla Bermudez. In partnership with the TUP ACES, we
invite and welcome you to our webinar entitled,

BOTH: “Be like Pro! INSPIRE, INTEGRATE AND INNOVATE”

Before we officially start, lets acknowledge those guest/students from other schools who
are all here in this webinar (state every school universities included by the speaker)

please allow us to read the house rules for this webinar:

1) Please be aware of the proper Zoom etiquette to avoid necessary distraction


during the event, display of improper conduct will result in removal from the
session.
2) Refrain from sending a message in the chat box while a speaker is presenting to
avoid interruptions.
3) Refrain from turning on your mic unless required especially during the question
and answer portion.
4) We encourage everyone to turn their cameras on during the event especially
during the speaker or talk segment.
5) If ever you have questions to the speakers, kindly wait for the Q&A segment.

INTRODUCTION OF FIRST GUEST AND WEBINAR SESSION 1

SHYLA: And now without further ado, we will turn the time over introducing our first guest
speaker. He graduated from Bulacan State University and finished his Bachelor of Science
in Civil Engineering degree. He is currently the principal structural engineer and director of
his own built company in 2018 which is the XSTRUCTURES. He is a former structural
engineer in AMEC Foster Wheeler, a former Structural Applications Engineer and a
Regional Account Manager for eight years. He is involved in offshore brownfield projects,
like offshore platforms, retrofitting, modification and extensions. He delivered hundreds of
trainings, seminars and webinars for STAAD, RAM, Prostructures and SAC product lines
while working with Bentley Middle east in forming his company. Let us all welcome Engr.

The BSCE-LEP 3rd year students in partnership with TUP ACES proudly present our
appreciation to Engr. John Paul Dela Rosa for ensuring his valuable knowledge in
today’s webinar. Given this 31st day of July in the year of 2021. Signed by our
department head, Dr. Emmanuel Ferrer, our section head, Dr. Edgar Gay-ya, our ACES
President, Janelle Sonajo and BSCE-LEP 3 president, Alyssa Hilaos. As for our token
of appreciation, we will deliver them to you as soon as possible. Once again, this serves
as our appreciation and we thank you for your time and insight.

speaker let’s first begin one of the afternoon's most anticipated highlights of our event:
the GAME SEGMENT!

English Version: I'd want to remind everyone that is present here in webinar are all
allowed to participate, and to win of course, you must follow instructions and answer the

GAME SEGMENT

SHYLA: It’s time to start the first ice breaker of the event! We’ll be having the game
called “Guess the Gibberish”! Each winner will be receiving a load worth 100 pesos
that will be given through Gcash. That doesn’t end there! Because we will be having 6
winners so stay alert! Pero syempre partner explain muna naten yung rules of this game
para lahat tayo maka-participate at lahat tayo mag enjoy!

TOPE: Tama partner! Siguro some of you are familiar na sa game na to dahil sikat na
sikat siya Tiktok and FB and syempre sa mga filters sa app na Instagram! Basically
kaylangan naten is to guess a word or phrase that we will be flashing sa ating screen. It
can be a phrase o word that makes no sense at all and kaylangan niyong basahin yung
word or phrase na to paulit-ulit to guess the right phrase.The one who first guessed the
correct answer immediately on the comments, will be our winner! Handan a ba kayo
guys?

SHYLA: Guys reminder lang na sa ating comment ay need niyo ilagay MINE tapos
yung answer niyo, okay ba yun?

TOPE: Kaylangan may “Mine” guys ah! So wag na natin patagalin partner no? Lets start

mga participants this afternoon ah!

TOPE: But for now that will be the end of our game segment for the first half ng ating
seminar. Let’s get ready guys to listen to our second guess speaker this afternoon,
sobrang excited ako dito dahil isa siya mga prof sa tech na talaga namang napaka-
galing mag-turo partner! Tama ba? Naalala mo pa ba si Sir?
SHYLA: Syempre naman partner Isa siya sa pinaka unang prof na nagturo satin ng
Basics of AutoCAD diba at talaga namang nag-enjoy ako sa mga pa-exam and pa-quiz
ni Sir noon sa atin. So without further ado partner, let’s introduce our second speaker
this afternoon.

TOPE: Our second speaker of the afternoon is an alumna and a professor in the Civil
Engineering Department of the Technological University of the Philippines – Taguig. He
is currently taking his graduate studies at the UP Diliman Campus. He worked as a
structural design engineer and inspector at Sy Squared Associates (SY^2 +
Associates). A present senior structural engineer at Quadstruct Inc., and also has
company of his own which is the Mega Lambda Engineering. Let us all welcome Engr.
Kim Limuel Gomez!

TOPE: Yes, that's right! This afternoon, some of us right here will be receiving some
really amazing goodies that might make your friends or colleagues a little bit jealous.
