DATA COMMUNICATION AND NETWORKING

PRACTICAL NO: 03

Title: Use step by step procedure for i.e. File sharing & Printer
sharing.
Theory:
1. Printer Sharing:
Printer sharing is the process of allowing multiple computers and devices
connected to the same network to access one or more printers.

Need of printer sharing:

Printer sharing is the process of allowing multiple computers and devices
connected to the same network to access one or more printers. Each node or
device on the network can print to any shared printer and, to some extent, make
changes to the printer settings, depending on the permissions set by the
administrator for each user.

Step by Step procedure to Share the printer on the primary PC:-

Share a Printer
First, start with the computer the printer is connected to. Make sure it’s installed
correctly with the latest drivers. Then click Start > Devices and Printers.

sharing between Windows 7 64 & 32-bit systems.

2. File Sharing:
What is file sharing?
File sharing allows a number of people to use the same file or file by some
combination of being able to read or view it, write to or modify it, copy it, or
