PREFACE:
OBJECTIVE:
1. This Contingency Plan was made to serve as a reference on how to respond for any
natural disaster our projects might encounter.
2. To prevent major damages and loss to company assets, liabilities and most
especially to prevent loss of lives.
3. To protect the safety and health of all PA properties employees and its affiliates
against any unexpected events brought by the environment.
4. To set control measure and maintain our workplace safe and free from major loss..
BACKGROUND:
Natural Phenomenon could occur anytime and mostly it could cause major
destructions and delays in operations. Advance preparation is very vital in preventing
such damages, securing constructionSince December 2019 a pneumonia of unknown
cause, which has clinical manifestations similar to severe acute respiratory syndrome
originated in Wuhan China and has rapidly spread across China and to at least 23
countries. NOVEL CORONA VIRUS was recently announced by the World Health
Organization to be considered as Pandemic stage since the said virus already spread
over several countries or continents, affecting a large number of people. Based on the
current advisory the total number of COVID cases in our country already reached 52
reported cases as of this writing. And persons who had interacts with the said 52
infected persons were still unidentified.
Indeed prior to this, dated March 4, 2020 DOLE-BWC releases an Advisory 9-20
recommending private establishment to practice a “four-day workweek and/or
adjust/flexible worktime”. This virus already killed thousands of lives across other
countries. Thus, if a contingency plan was prepared, effects upon our employees will
be controlled.
1. Consider the four-days’ workweek and/or adjust/flexible worktime for our workers
and employees pursuant to the Presidential Proclamation 922 and DOLE Advisory
9-20.
3. Staffs, workers, visitors, applicants and suppliers who will traced exceeding to the
normal body temperature will be subject for temporary repudiate from entry within
the premises.
7. Security and Safety Personnel must prepare readiness to ensure that all incoming
individuals were properly check and undergone body temperature monitoring prior
starting to work.
13. Procurement of additional informative signage’s on how to deal with or prevent from
being inflect with the virus.
15. More stocks of foods and drinks at canteen for personal usage that might extend
additional hours of duties.
1. Management should immediately suspend all activities for a certain period of time.
3. No workers will be allowed to stay within company premises except to the skeletal
workforce (if needed).
4. Can require a home based work for those who are inclined to office jobs.
5. Update from the Local Government regarding the possible resolutions and orders
made by the LGU’s in response to the virus outbreak.
