Foreword

Ehanced Community Quarantine was declared by the Phillipine government last March 17, 2020
in all araes of Luzon amidst the alarming cases of COVID- worldwide. This action was made base on the
through assessment and recommendations from the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) in order to contain
the possible widespread of the virus from one place to another. It was set to end on April 14, 2020,
however due to escalation of confirmed cases it was extended until April 30, 2020.

Except for the establishments that essential for emergency medical facilities and basic
commodities, construction industries in the entire country has grinded to an almost complete halt. A s a
result, numerous employees was affected espceially those under the “ NO WORK, NO PAY’ category.
Thus, many livelihood put in an uncertain situation. especially those under the “No work, No pay”
category. On this note, the governent derive a new advisory that some areas of Luzon will be put in
Modified, Extended or Lifted Community Quarantine.

To fuel the rebound, Philippine Government Officials have said that “ infrastracture will be the
most powerful tool of government everywhere can employ in restarting the economy after the
devastating wrought by the Pandemic”. Certain recommendations was proposed by the IATF and other
government sector such as Modification, Extension, or Totally lift the ECQ in some areas of Luzon. And
dated April 24, 2020 with regard to the proposals being set and thorough assessments, President
Rodrigo Roa Duterte annonces that Central Luzon, Region 3 and Region 4A will be placed under
Extended ECQ.

For the meantime, while the construction industry were ready to resume work, it does so
cognizant of new norms that would require new rational arrangements. we also need to prepare for the
possible work resumption anytime after the decision come up. However, we should also have to ensure
the safety and health of our workers by setting guidelines and preventive measures of to avoid
spreading of the virus within Azure North project premises. As we prepare to go back to work, the
COVID-19 Protocols within Azure North Project and Wokers, Health and Safety was established:

 Incorporate standards of the Department of Labor and Employment-Occupation Safety and


Health (DOLE-OSH) and the Deparment of Health (DOH).
 Provide the minimum requirements, but at the same time modify or create additional control
measures depending on the work processes.

 Thorough screening of workers came from different places especially from those epicenter of
COVID-19.

“ It only takes one individual to contaminate everyone, Let us do our share to safeguard each lives”

PREVENTION

A. PROPER WORK ATTIRE OR PPE

o Shirt with Sleeves


o Pants
o Hard-hats
o High Visibility Vest
o Other necessary Personal Protective Equipment (i.e hand gloves, goggles,etc.)
o As per the DOH all workers are expected to wear face masks.
