How are the education systems followed around the world similar

and different?

Education system is a system through which children learn basic academic

knowledge, learning skills and cultural norms. Education happens through both
formal and informal systems; both foster cultural transmissions. We can clearly
notice international differences and similarities in education systems. There is no
specific system of education that should be implemented but it would help a lot for
students to face the outside world if the learning is practical. Countries in the world
shape their education system in various ways considering what is working in their
favor.

Starting with the better side when we come across the text “Country having best
education system” then Finland, Japan, South Korea, UK, Denmark, USA and
followed by other countries. Finland, Denmark and some other offers free education
to citizens with no dead ends while in some counties (especially poor) parents need
to pay for their children's education. In some countries students are free to choose
their educational path. There is no homework and no standardized testing until they
reach high school and also, they have shorter school days but, in some counties,
mostly Asian, students are constantly stressed by the amount of stress of
assignments and tests they get from school and family.

Japan’s, Hong-Kong and Singapore's education system has moved instruction

further away from the rote memorization and repetitive tasks on which it had
originally focused to deeper conceptual understanding and problem-based learning
but some countries like China emphasizes memorization and learning. Canada too is
with a clear vision, they have created a transparent system in collaboration with
administrators, teachers and the union to create a curriculum and methodology that
is successful but some countries are so poor that they do not have enough budget or
time to discuss the education system of their country.

So, from the described systems of different countries above we can see differences
and similarities in the education systems. One of the significant similarities is that
almost all the education systems around the world involve a teacher and learner.
Another is that all of them aim to teach students and make them a better person for
the future. The education systems around the globe focus on what’s important for
the students and provide them with all the necessary skills and qualities they’d need
for their future. The most prominent similarity between the educational systems
might be that all of them are preparing their students to compete tomorrow with
students all over the world and prove to be the very best.
In a nutshell, good education system is very important to children these days as
today’s youth will be competing tomorrow with students all over the world. Different
countries follow different educational systems. There is no specific system of
education that should be implemented but it would help a lot for students to face the
outside world if the learning is practical. Although the countries have different
systems and methods of imparting education, their goals remain the same- to
prepare their students for the upcoming future in the best way they can. When
students break out of their cushions that has been placed in their forms.
