Introduction:

(Note from the author, I really don’t want to insult the masterpiece that Middle Earth is
representing, please consider that all the events in this scenario are happening in a parallel
world.)

In the Riopel region, humans and orcs signed a peace treaty to avoid war and violence.
Your part of a mercenary guild reknown to always do the work for which their members are
hired for.

Scenario 1 (Requirement = Core Set)


Encounter deck:
● Escape from Dol Goldur
● Dol Goldur Orcs
● Spiders of Mirkwood

ACT 1a
In the Smelling Pig tavern, Lord Arnet hires you to recover a sword that has been
stolen from him by the Orcs many years ago.

Setup
● Remove the Endless Cavern (2)
● Remove Nazgul of Dol Guldur (1) and the Dungeon Jailor (2)

ACT 1b
After few days of preparation, it is time to go the fortress of the Orcs

Objective
● 8 points of victory
ACT 2a
You see the fortress of the Orcs far off.

Setup
Shuffle the Endless Cavern (2) with all the encounter deck including the discarded ones.

ACT 2b
The place is very well guarded and you’re looking for place to get in without being
spotted
● At the start of the Quest phase, you can exhaust a hero or place 1 damage
token on any of your characters; you can look at the first top card on the
encounter deck, one will be discarded and the other one will go in the
staging area (Limit of 1 per turn)

Objective
● 1 point of victory
● You need to complete the location Endless Cavern to win this objective.
ACT 3a
While exploring the Endless Cavern, you find an opening allowing you to get in the
fortress

Setup
● Dol Goldur Orcs
○ Remove Chieftain Ufthak (1)
● Spiders of Mirkwood
○ Remove Hummerhorns (1) et Ungoliant’s spawn (1)

ACT 3b
You must find the sword as soon as possible without being spotted

Objective
● 8 points of victory
● At end end of each turn, you must put a resource on each engaged ennemy. If an
enemy has more than 3 resources, he sounds the alarms, you are captured and
the scenario is loss.

You finally find the stolen sword. It is in the back of the Orcs king. While you’re
looking at the scene, someone enters in the room. Seeing you near the victim, he
raised the alarm.

Having no time to spare, you can run away by hiding as best as you can in the
swamp (Go to Scenario 2.1) or you can run away as fast as you can through the
lowland (Go to Scenario 2.2)
