24/8/2021 HOL - Instance

Background and introductory topics are presented in the Exploration. Most Exploration

pages have a "Question Time!" button to quiz you as you progress through the content.
You only get one chance to commit the correct answer, and you will receive immediate
feedback on your answer choice.

Once an answer has been selected, click "Check Answer," then "Next" to move on to
additional questions, or "Submit," once the final question has been completed.

Read the content below to answer the question.

Fruiting Bodies of Fungi

The recognizable forms of fungal reproductive bodies, or fruiting bodies, encountered in

nature vary structurally. Common forms of fungal fruiting bodies include trumpet, club
fungus, bracket, cup fungus, gill fungus, bolete, puff ball, and stinkhorn.

Close observation of fruiting body anatomy can lend clues during identification of a
species. Differing species of fungi can appear similar, and it is never advised to eat a wild
mushroom because poisonous varieties can resemble edible ones.

1. Fungal fruiting bodies, or reproductive bodies, have different structural forms.
