II. BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Ukulele is a four stringed musical instrument, a natural Hawaiian adaptation of several

four and five string instruments developed in Portugal. This musical instrument is small in size but has
different sizes and often refer as “small guitar”. Although it is not as intimidating as the 6 stringed or
more musical instrument, learning this instrument and being able to play gives such enjoyment to the
one who’s playing and listening to it. This 2 Days Ukulele Workshop aims to promote the highest levels
of human aspiration and artistic integrity through learning the history and being able to play a Ukulele.
The activities will be done from discussing first the history or background of the instrument up to
teaching and showing them how to play a Ukulele from different styles ranging from beginners to expert
playing and there will be also brief discussion of singing and simple composition of a song for the benefit
of the participants. This activity will help to develop the unity and leadership of the participants specially
those individuals who lacks capability in physical activities such as in sports.
