EXECUTIVE ORDER NO.01-SERIES 2019

AN EXECUTIVE ORDER ORGANIZING THE BARANGAY DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL,
EXECUTIVECOMMITTEE,AND SECRETARIAT OF BARANGAY COMPOSTELA,BUUG.
ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY

WHEREAS; the local government Code of 1991 confers upon to the Barangay
Development Council as the primary planning unit in determining the over-all
development in the barangay.
WHEREAS; said law further outlines and defined the composition and function
of the said council,

WHEREAS; Sec 111 (3) of the local government Code of 1991 confers upon to
the Executive Committee to represent the Barangay Development Council and act in
its behalf when it is not in session,

WHEREAS; said law further outlines and defined the composition and function
of the said Executive Committee and Secretariat,

NOW ,I Punong Barangay Alboris T. Sedoon of Barangay Compostela,Buug,

Zamboanga Sibugay by the vested in me by the law do hereby order the following;

A. ORGANIZATION , COMPOSITION AND FUNCTIONS BARANGAY

DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (BDC)

Legal Basis - Section 107 (a) of R.A No. 7160

FUNCTIONS: Sec.109 (b) of R.A 7160
 Mobilize people participation in local development efforts;
 Prepare a barangay development plan base on legal requirements;
 Monitor and evaluate the implementation of national or local programs and projects;
and
 Perform such other function as may be provided by law or component authority.

B. ORGANIZATION, COMPOSITION, AND FUNCTIONS-BARANGAY

DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL,BDC EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE shall likewise with
the following composition:

Members;
Hon. Ariel I. Nable Barangay Kagawad
Mr. Eduardo Batutay Senior Citizen President
FUNCTIONS of the BDC Executive Committee-The BDC Execomm shall have
by the following;
Sec 111 (b) of R.A No. 7160
 Ensure that the decisions of the Council are faithfully carried out and
implemented;
 Act on matters requiring immediate attention or action by the Council;
 Formulate policies,plans, and programs based on the general principles
laid down by the Council; and
 Act on other matters that may be authorized by the Council.
 C. ORGANIZATION, COMPOSITION, AND FUNCTIONS-BARANGAY
DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL, SECRETARIAT- The BDC Secretaiat shall be

FUNCTIONS of the BDC Secretariat-The BDC Secretariat shall have the

proceedings, preparation of reports and such other assistance as may be
required in the discharged of its functions.
