1. Sustainability is one of the major key themes in environmental science. Assessing the
current situation of the world and the impacts related between humans and the
environment, is it still possible to have a sustainable society for us and for the future
generation? If your answer is NO, please justify the negative reasons behind your
claim. If YES, justify the things or actions to be done or change to attain a sustainable
place to live in.

Yes it is still possible to have a sustainable society such actions and changes need to be
done for the environment including, being knowledgeable and informative enough on
how to take good care of the environment – going green, reducing the use of plastics,
following the 3 R’s (Reduce, Re-use, and Recycle) to conserve natural resources and
landfill space, avoid overharvesting, learn to save and conserve resources, drive less to
decrease pollution, boycott products that endangered the wildfire, advocate for
environmental restoration, reforestation, and such positive ways in sustaining and not
harming the environment.

2. There are many ecosystem services provided and supplied by the resources and
natural ecosystem to the human society. In your local area (neighborhood), determine
and evaluate at least two (2) ecosystem services that are well-provided by the nature
to you and to your society. NOTE: Please state first your town/city and province before
you start answering the question given above. 

outside of our neighborhood there are few trees or land and water resources to be
found as we live in the center of the city and buildings, open roads, vehicles are always
to be found. But inside of our neighborhood plants, and small trees are found because
some of our relatives and my family likes to plant thus, these plants provides fresh air to
our homes. Moreover, the two ecosystem services provided here in our neighborhood is
the regulating services and cultural services.

Additional problems may include the effects of deforestation and illegal logging such as
climate change, habitats wild plants and animals will be lost, including soil erosion,
water cycle disruption, greenhouse gas emissions and biodiversity losses, typhoon may
arise and extreme flooding can cause which it can reach up to the city, landslides, mass
wasting and damage to the ecosystem. On one hand, in terms of detribalization
additional problems or effects may occur such as, agricultural resources will be abuse,
and indigenous identities of these people will be lost.
Cite and discuss at least two (2) possible solutions to this case that will help
improve Palawan's agricultural status and agroforesty programs without
compromising its environment and its own people.

Promote education in regards on how to make the Palawan’s agricultural status

and agroforestry improve by simply knowing the negative and positive ways on
improving, how to properly take care the environment - Improved soil quality, as
a result of organic matter input from trees and crops, leads to higher agricultural
yields, assuring food and soil security in the longer term.
