Paradox of Time

(A Reflection Paper)

Paradox of our time is a masterpiece that tells us what is happening in the present times. The changes
that people has taken which have a long-lasting effect to humans live. It also gives us insights what are
the effects of changes in our society. It highlights how these changes brought so much disadvantages in
everyone’s live. It is the accurate description of our society not just what our eyes had seen but also
what does everyone in the society is suffering. By the tall buildings that surrounds us to the technologies
that continuously evolving we--- humans suffered from the consequences. Although it is not bad to
adapt or to cope up in our changing surroundings but we should always have in our mind that every
changes have a corresponding consequences. In fact changes brought so many opportunities to people
especially to medical field. It makes the works a lot easier compared before. It became our ways of
survival that led us to a new way of living. Until it became a habit to people to continue adapting to
changes that they think will give them a satisfaction. People became addicted to it that they find a hard
time from departing their selves from the effects of it. They never knew that it is slowly manipulating
people to be departed from each other and most especially to the reality of life. They became an
obsession that all of us wanted to embrace even though it means being cruel and selfish. We never
thought that enjoying these changes will bring us to the point that it is okay to don’t have interaction to
each other. It led us to be departed in a way that it makes us feel that we are independent but in the
reality we are not. This poem perfectly articulate how people respond to the shortcomings that they
made. People built new infrastructures without knowing that they also destructing the traditional way of
living. We never became contented of what we have but instead we beg for more even though it will
cause self-destruction too. We became greedy of what we have without knowing that humanity will
slowly fading. Humanity that will save us from slowly drowning to these changes but we choose to
forget. Humanity that will makes us realize of what is important to us but we choose to avoid. In the
end, we should always prioritize what is really important to us. We should put in our mind that these are
all temporary but humanity is not.
