calculated using following two approaches, i-e AASHTO 1993 and Road Note 40. The

The average damaging factors at each station along National Highway N-40 are
tabulated in Table 8-89. The results provide a comprehensive description of locations
where maximum overloading is being followed and vice versa. The results will help in
pavement design for rehabilitation and maintenance of existing roadway and for new
one.

8.6.14 Tire Pressure Measurements on National Highway N-40

The tires of overloaded vehicles are over-inflated far in excess of their normal
pressure. The Consultants site teams have checked tire pressure of each truck
weighed during the survey. The average tire pressure value of front and rear axles of

8.7 National Highway N-45

The National Highway N-45 is one of Pakistan National Highway running from
Nowshera District to the town of Chitral via Dir in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is a two
lane highways with total length of 309 km. The results of axle load survey performed
on National Highway N-45 are discussed in subsequent sub-sections.

8.7.1 Distribution of Vehicles by Axle Configuration on National

N-45 is summarized in Table 8-91 and is graphically presented in Figure 8-49.
