Ruling Depths
ARRIVAL DEPARTURE
Depths of between 9.0 metres and 10.7 metres below Chart Datum have
encroached up to 135 metres into the Northern edge of the Navigable Channel
from 812 metres to 1168 metres East of the No. 3 Chequer Light Buoy.
Deeper water exists to the South in this vicinity.
Depths of between 6.3 metres and 7.3 metres below Chart Datum have
encroached up to 700 metres into the Southern edge of the Navigable Channel
from 130 metres West to 530 metres East of the No. 2 Haile Sand Light Buoy.
Deeper water exists to the North in this vicinity.
14-Oct-2019 16:15 H138/2019 Depths of between 8.2 metres below Chart Datum and 10.7 metres below Chart
Datum have encroached up to 150 metres into the Northern buoy-line of the
Inward
Traffic Separation Scheme lane, from 800 metres East North East of the No. 3
Chequer South Cardinal Buoy to the South East Chequer South Cardinal Float.
Depths of between 8.2 metres below Chart Datum and 10.7 metres below Chart
Datum have encroached up to 790 metres into the Southern buoy-line of the
Inward
Traffic Separation Scheme lane, from the Alpha Buoy to 1500 metres East North
East of the Bravo Buoy.
18-Jun-2020 16:05 H86/2020 MARINERS ARE WARNED that a survey carried out on the 18th June 2020
shows that depths of less than 9.7 metres below Chart Datum have encroached
up to 35 metres into the South side of the Hawke channel from 100 metres to 840
metres upstream of the No. P4 Light Buoy.
Masters of Very Large Vessels (VLS) should take these depths into account when
preparing passage plans as they may be impeded by the encroachmen

encroached up to 38 metres into the Southern edge of the channel from 365
metres to 550 metres downstream of the No. 8 Middle Burcom Light buoy.

channel 500 metres upstream of the FH3 Light Buoy.

09-Feb-2021 16:13 H.22/2021 MARINERS ARE WARNED that a survey carried out on the 9th February 2021
shows that depths of less than 9.7 metres below Chart Datum have encroached
up to 35 metres into the South side of the Hawke channel from 120 metres to 875
metres upstream of the No. P4 Light Buoy.
Masters of Very Large Vessels (VLS) should take these depths into account when
preparing passage plans as they may be impeded by the encroachment.
24-Feb-2021 16:04 H.30/2021 Depths of less than 6.4 metres below Chart Datum have encroached up to 50
metres into the Southern edge of the navigation channel from 400 metres
upstream of the No. 4A Clee Ness Light Float to 260 metres downstream of
the No. 4B Light Buoy.
Deeper water exists to the North in this vicinity.
Depths of less than 6.4 metres below Chart Datum have encroached up to 35
metres into the Southern edge of the navigation channel from 350 metres to
600 metres downstream of the No. 8 Middle Burcom Light Buoy.
Deeper water exists to the North in this vicinity.
