WEEK 11 FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT 6:

OBJECTIVE:
At the end of the session, you should be able to translate the site details from a textual to graphical. Also, you should
know the implications of the site characteristics on the spatial organization and form.

INSTRUCTIONS:
A. Site Survey and Analysis
1.Illustrate/translate and make a meaningful graphical information, using appropriate symbols and labels, of the site
survey considering the following:
a. Location residential area
b. Size 10x20 meters, the width along South
c. Orientation of the front of the lot South, 6-meter road
d. Adjacent lots river along North, vacant lot on East and bungalow on West
e. Topography slightly sloping towards the river
f. Geographic location 20 meters away from a river
g. Plant material mostly covered in grass with 3-meter height bamboos fronting the river
h. Water table shallow
i. Climate warm-humid with occasional heavy rainfall
j. Solar orientation see adjacent lot descriptions
k. Prevailing winds North-East to South-West
l. Soil moist to wet loam
m. Regulatory factors
i. Zoning Ordinances Occupancy – R1 and Zoning - Residential
ii. Codes to be analyzed by the designer
iii. Historical Requirements none
iv. Environmental Requirements keep 10% of the existing vegetation to prevent erosion
n. Sensory Factors
i. Views good view facing the river, reduced visual privacy facing road
ii. Sounds swishing water facing the river, neighborhood noise facing
road
iii. Smells refreshing river smell along the river, car fumes facing the road

B. Site Development Plan


2. Illustrate a clean Site Development Plan showing the built-up area and the landscape design.

C. Draw the 2 Site Plans (A and B) on 1 sheet of A3 paper, scale 1:100M, oriented North
