The Flynn Effect

1. Do you believe people are really getting smarter? Why or why not?

Yes, we believe that people are getting smart. The reason behind this is the revolution in our
education, thinking system and if we see behind we don’t have the educational and other
technological facilities our grandparents are not familiar with smartphones but our new
generation’s childes use technology very smoothly. So we can say that these are factors behind the
smartness of today people as they have access to a big ocean of knowledge through technology for
example now students used mobile dictionaries instead of traditional dictionaries this is time
saving and very effective way everything is available at a single click.

2. Which of the factors explaining the Flynn effect do you accept?

I think all the factors Flynn had explained are valid if I compare these factors with my situation
these all are valid, children of today are well educated than their ancestors like there is no proper
test system in previous time but now there many forms of tests like monthly tests, semiannually
and many more. Smaller families is also a factor like our grandparents spend their lives in combine
family system where child didn’t get proper attention of their parents. At the end the biological
factor of genes also effect the smartness and IQ level of child.

3. If the Flynn effect is true, does this undermine the theory that IQ is mostly inherited?
Why or why not?

Yes it is true that IQ is mostly inherited. There are many genes for different things like height,
color and also IQ or intelligence. If the gene of intelligence is dominant then child possess higher
or equal IQ to their parents rather than the gene of intelligence will not dominant.
