Heat-Warming Change

Back on 2008, I was only 5 years old and I remembered playing with my friends in a
field full of trees, built our tree house and we enjoyed the cold breeze while boasting and
laughing with each other. That was a long time ago and I still missed how it feels. By the
way, I am John Louie Tapec, 21 years old and live in a prosper land of Guimba, Nueva Ecija.

Here in our area, a lot have changed, many houses have been built and many trees
have been cut down. Back then, our area was almost green because of trees and “palay”. But
now, we still have “palay” but fewer trees. As time passed by, the breeze become hotter and
you will feel the heat-warming change in region. It is heart-rending thinking how things
became like this, I cannot play anymore because I become older, but I want my little brothers
experience what I have experienced in a place with so much trees, cold breeze and
heartwarming surroundings. Moreover, back then, I always enjoyed taking shower under the
rain but now, the rain becomes acidic. All this happened and still happening because of
climate change.

Can we still alter the climate change? There’s so much factories, buildings and
humans that does not have care about our planet, so how can I change it alone? Stop thinking
and start doing it. Water is our greatest resource but now, many countries experience its
scarcity. So, if we don’t start know, when? Even if we are alone, start saving the earth. A
little spark can start a wildfire. Your works can start a chain-reaction so let’s save our planet
earth.
