1. What is cybercrime?
The use of a computer as an instrument to further illegal ends, such as committing
fraud, Trafficking in child Pornography and intellectual property, stealing identities
and or violating Privacy.

2. What is a computer crime?

-Any crime accomplished through special knowledge of computer technology.
-Any crime where computer is used as a tool or as a target or incidental to the commission
of a crime.
-Any illegal act in which knowledge of computer technology is used to commit the offense.
-Also known as Cybercrime.
-All illegal activities that are committed by or with the aid of computer or information
technology or in which the computers are the target of the criminal enterprise.

1.Online Gambling Millions of Websites, all hosted on abroad offer online gambling
2. Email Spoofing A spoof email is one that appears to originate from one source but
actually has been sent from another source.
3. Cyber Stalking This involves following a person’s movements across the internet by
posting messages (sometimes threatening) on bulletin boards frequented by the victim ,
entering chatrooms frequented by the victim constantly bombarding the victims with
emails.
4. Email Bombing This refers to sending a large number of emails to the victim resulting in
the victim’s email account in case of an individual or mail servers (in case of a company or
an email service provider) crashing.
5.Malicious Sending of E-mails the sending of malicious and defamatory electronic mails
for the purpose of extorting money, or threatening prospective victims.
6.Internet Pornography The trafficking, distribution, posting, and dissemination of obscene
material including children’s and child sex slavery posted into the internet, live streaming
videos aired through the internet.
7.Cyber Defamation This occurs when defamation takes place with the help of computers
and/or the internet.
8.Theft of any information contained in electronic form such as stored in computer hard
disks removal storage media and Can extend to identity theft.
9.IP Crimes Software Piracy, Copyright Infringement, Trademarks violations, Theft of
computer source code.

Activity No. 2 ( Explain briefly and intelligently in not more than 200 words)

1. (a) multi-functional devices such as the smartwatch and smartphone have been made
possible by modern technology. Computers are becoming quicker, more portable, and
more powerful than they have ever been. Technology has made our life easier, faster,
better, and more enjoyable as a result of all of these revolutions but sadly we have to accept
the fact that because of these technological advancement different crimes and problems
arises which was beyond human expectation.
(b.) As the technology progress, cybercrime increases. “Cybercrime is defined as computer-
mediated acts that are either illegal or illicit in the eyes of some parties and can be carried
out via worldwide electronic networks. Cybercrime is defined as “criminal behavior that
requires the use of a computer or network.” This crime is almost posted on different news
where its victims are usually child.
2. Control of cyberspace is crucial not only because of individual participants' actions, but
also because cyberspace's infrastructure is now critical to the operation of national and
international security systems, trade networks, emergency services, basic communications,
and other public and private activities. If only people knows their responsibility in using
these technology, we could use for the progress and development of humanity. The
technology are great allies of humanity in achieving unity despite diversity but if, we
human continue to use for our own selfish desires, technology can be the great enemy of
humanity. Just like. Fire is very crucial. Fire are use to cook foods, provides heat and light
but if not handled properly it can take lives and property.
