    Crisis in tourism by Ana Marie Pamintuan discussed the problems faced by the the travel

    industry. Particularly the local destination in the Philippines, Bohol for terrorist threats and

    Batangas’ earthquakes and aftershocks. Many coutries like South Korea joined Australia,

    Europe, Japan, New Zealand, the UK and the United States issued a travel advisory for this local

    destinations. The article compare Vietnams travel volume- over 10 million tourists last year to

    the Philippine which has half of that. One major reason of this is Vietnam’s ability ensure the

    safety of visitors. This urged the travel industry to push the department of tourism to perform an

    aggressive PR campaign for tourism. Ana Pamintuan also wrote about her travel to Vietnam,

    Halong Bay the filming site for kingkong and suggested that our country a Hollywood loving

    coutry should also be thriving in this area instead it does not. Overall the article urged the public

    to open its eyes to the tourism activities in the country.
