MAHINDRA RISE CHALLENGE

RULE BOOK

ELIGIBILITY:

The Mahindra Rise Challenge is open to first year bonafide students currently pursuing a two-year
flagship PGP/MBA program in the following business schools only:

1. Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad

2. Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore
3. Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta
4. Indian Institute of Management, Indore
5. Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode
6. Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow
7. Indian Institute of Management, Shillong
8. Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad
9. Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi
10. Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai
11. SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai
12. Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune
13. Xavier Labour Relations Institute, Jamshedpur
14. Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi
15. Management Development Institute, Gurgaon
16. MICA, Ahmedabad

Note: For the Mahindra Rise Challenge, students from other streams such as the Part-Time Program,
Management Development Program, Executive MBA Program, FPM Program, and not from the
above-listed schools, are not eligible to participate.

Violation of the Eligibility criteria will automatically disqualify a participant and bar him/her from
moving ahead in the contest.

PARTICIPATION FORMAT:
• Students will take part in the competition on an individual basis.
• Each student can register only once
• Students are required to use their college ID for registration
• Students who register multiple times from different ID’s will be disqualified
The participating students are strongly advised to register themselves on the website and follow the
Facebook page (www.facebook.com/Mahindra Group Management Cadre (GMC)), to make sure
that they are up to date with the latest happenings about the competition.

• The event will be for 6 hours and will consist of 5 different activities.
• Participants are expected to complete all 5 activities within the stipulated time frame of 6
hours
• Participants can complete the activities in any order of their choice
• All activities carry equal weightage from an evaluation point of view
• Submission of the final deliverable for each round will happen via the Dare2Compete
website
• It is mandatory to complete all 5 activities to be considered for evaluation

Note: The EntrepRISE Event is for 2 hours and participants will have to complete it in one go

PREREQUISITES:

Each participant must ensure the following

1. Each participant must have a laptop and charger and have access to high-speed internet
throughout the event.

Details regarding all the activities of the respective event shall be shared when the event goes live
on the 14th of August 2021, from 6:00 PM onwards.

Activity 1: Rise by Daring to Disturb the Universe

Submission Format: Any 1 of the following formats can be used at your convenience.
1. PPT – 2 Slides maximum
2. Word Document – 1 Page
3. On paper – 1 Page (The participant is free to use pencil, pen, colour pens, etc. – any art
material)
4. Photographs – to be clubbed and submitted on one page max
5. Video – 1 Minute Maximum – YouTube Link to be shared
6. Any other creative/convenient way of representation will be accepted with a page
restriction of 1 Page
7. If you choose to upload a video kindly follow these steps: Log in to YouTube
8. Upload the video and keep the channel settings as public
9. Upload the YouTube link on the Dare2Compete platform for Mahindra Rise Challenge

Activity 2: Rise with Ingenuity

Submission Format: Any 1 of the following formats can be used at your convenience.
1. PPT – 2 Slides maximum
2. Word Document – 1 to 2 Pages maximum
3. On paper – 2 Pages (The participant is free to use pencil, pen, colour pens, etc. – any art
material)
 4. Photographs – to be clubbed and submitted on 1-2 pages max
5. Any other creative/convenient way of representation will be accepted with a page
restriction of 2 Pages Max

Activity 3: Rise to be Heard

Submission Format: Video
1. Video – 90 seconds Maximum – YouTube Link to be shared
To upload a video kindly follow these steps:
1. Login to YouTube
2. Upload the video and keep the channel settings as public
3. Upload the YouTube link on the Dare2Compete platform for Mahindra Rise Challenge

Activity 4: EntrepRISE
This round is gamification-based. Students are required to use their laptops and have access to high-
speed internet.
Overview:
• The duration of the event will be 2 Hours. It will be divided into multiple phases and each
student is required to complete all the phases
• Once a student begins with the activity, he/she/they will be required to complete it in a
single go. There will be no option to pause the activity and restart it after a time interval
• Once a stage has been completed the student cannot re-enter the stage or go back to a
particular stage

Submission Format:
The link to the activity will be given live on the Dare2Compete’s webpage. Once you click on the link,
you will be directed to a different web page that will run the simulation. The student can proceed to
subsequent phases by clicking on the Submit activity button. On completion of the final phase, the
student is required to click on Get Final Valuation.
Once the activity is submitted no further changes can be made. You can go back to the
Dare2Compete webpage to proceed to the other rounds.

Activity 5: Reflect to RISE

This round is a psychometric evaluation. A link for the same will be shared on the competition day
on the Dare2Compete webpage.
