Published Regional Nutrition Cluster Advisory 3 for information management
Shared last week's post about Nutrition Cluster activation via social media groups
Coordinated with LGUs on updates on any nutrition activities being held in compliance to
guidelines.
Consolidated the 4Ws of the LGUs in the region.
Coordinated with Urdaneta City regarding the milk code violation in their area and conduct
necessary actions. The said violation was also reported to Ms. Leny Calaguas of DOH CHD I

infographics on nutrition related to Covid-19.
Reiteration of Nutrition Cluster Advisory to MNAO Ibus of Burgos, Ilocos Norte that
instead of milk, they can include fresh fruit and vegetables in their food rations.
Coordinated with LGUs on updates on any nutrition activities being held in compliance to
guidelines
On-going data collection of 4Ws from NAOs and D/CNPCs.

Some LGUs incorporated vegetables and eggs in the food packs, put up of Kitchen Patrol/
Community Kitchen to prepare meals for the frontliners.
Called-up attention of Iloilo City Re: their distribution of Bearbrand and

Nestogen to barangays.
Resent to Mayor's FB Page and Email Address the Nutrition Cluster Advisory
No. 01 Series 2020 highlighting the statement no. 3- promote, protect and
support exclusive breastfeeding only for 0-6 months old.
In coordination with DOH ND IV, reminded Iloilo City Nutrition Center (NAO/CNPC)
the consequences of distributing milk formulas to children in the brgys.
Called-up the attention of Iloilo City BNS Federation President about the distribution
of Bearbrand for BNSes/BHWs to follow-up BNC of the E.O51 and reminding
parents with 0-6 months old children to adhere to Exclusive Breastfeeding (EBF).
Bearbrand and other milk formulas to be given to 3 years and above only (Copy furnished
Region VI BNS Federation Presidents.
Coordinated with R10 LGUs re nutrition actions made in response to COVID-19 crisis.
Nutrition actions documented in 4Ws matrix for RO/CO.
Reporting of alleged EO 51 violation in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon to DOH CHD-NorMin.

Assisted LGU Tarangnan, Samar who inquired on nutribun possible source of partner.
Communicated concern to local staff of San Miguel Corporation and provided information
that as of now, the nutribun program is currently in NCR area.
Provided information on the query via message regarding measle case of a 4 month baby
regarding not breasfeeding her child.
Posted nutrition related info graphics (breastfeeding, recipes, etc) at the NNC8 FBsite
Coordinated with 17 LGUs and consolidated reports on the status of nutrition
response (inventory of supplies and nutrition response) ; initial report submitted to
NNC CO
Participated in the two (2) meetings (March 27, April 3) with NNC-CO in preparation
for the National Nutrition Cluster Meeting on April 6
Conduct of virtual meeting with Local Nutrition Cluster coordinators to discuss the

Posted/shared updates and other related news on COVID-19 in the NNC-NCR FB
fanpage
Prepared and posted articles on NNC-NCR webpage on LGUs good practices on their
COVID-19 nutrition response; shared also in the FB Fanpage
Coordinated with the Regional Nutrition Cluster member agencies re: their nutrition
reponse and requested them to accomplish the google sheet link on the 4Ws
Monitoring of alleged milk code violations seen on FB posts and reports received
through FB fanpage and email; referred the alleged violation to concerned LGUs for
them to get in touch with the individual or organization committing the alleged violation
and explain to them the Milk Code; answered queries received through the FB
fanpage re milk donation and explained the provisions of the EO 51; informed LGUs
where to report the alleged milk code violations (MMCHD and MBF PH)
Created a google drive link that serves as repository of information materials and
references on IYCF, Milk Code, COVID-19 related nutrition information, etc. and
policies such as Nutrition Cluster Advisory, DOH AOs on milk donation, EO 51, etc. for
easy access of all LGUs through their Local Nutrition Cluster coordinator, focal ND
and NAO.
Shared with donor, the list of food items that can be donated for inclusion in the food
pack for families with 6-23 months old based on recom of NNC CO; shared also the
contact information on food manufacturers of complementary foods (Bigmo, momsies,
etc)
Mobilized the City/District Nutrition Program Coordinators of Metro Manila Association
for IYCF counseling; assisted the Association in putting up a mechanism or referral
system where mothers needing IYCF counseling are provided help by the members of
the Assn. via SMS, call, viber, etc.
Donation/distribution of RUTF and RUSF by private individuals as reported by the
focal NDs of 8 LGUs (Pateros, Marikina, Quezon City, Las Pinas, Muntinlupa,
Valenzuela, Makati, Taguig) reported to MMCHD Regional ND for appropriate action;
also reported to Dr. Anthonly Calibo via messenger
