Rationale / Background:
Feeding Program alleviates hunger, enhances nutrition and supports healthy child and family
development. Pursuant to the Republic Act No. 11037 or “Masustansyang Pagkain Para sa Batang
Pilipino”, the City supports thru the milk feeding program to address undernutrition among children two
(2) to five (5) years old. Milk is an important part of child’s diet because it provides Calcium and Vitamin
D which helps build strong bones. Milk is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals and considered as
complete food and for child’s growth and development.
Participants: 887 undernourished children
Scope of Program:
120 days
