1. Choose 2 among the given skills that a system analyst must possess that you think are
more important than the rest? Explain your answer.
I chose the skill listed in number 3 and 4 because these skills show that a system analyst is
not just familiar with his job but instead, he is well educated in doing his job and he can
provide immediate and useful ideas for the business such as solutions for business problems
and improving business process to have a better and easier way of operating the business.
It is important that a system analyst is knowledgeable enough in doing his job because his
job is focuses in analyzing business datas that they use in making decisions that can affect
the future of the business.

2. Which phase of the SDLC is the most important? Explain your answer.
I do believe that the most important step in the SLDC is the planning phase because it
answered the question, “Why do we build the system?”. Knowing the purpose on building
the system is a huge factor in designing on how will the process run and most of the time
this phase becomes the guideline in doing future decisions. When planning is done
efficiently, the following process will follow that leads to successful business.

3. Why should the system request be created by a business person as opposed to an IS

professional?
The system request is a document that contains information that is usually happens in
business organization. It is better if someone who is exposed to the business organization
will create this kind of document because they more likely provide ideas that are more
realistic and better compare to an Information System professional.

4. Think about your ideal analyst position. Write an ad to hire someone for that position.
