Weekly Schedule:

Week One:
In the first week I was briefly introduced to the system around at the office and the court. I
saw the office and who is working there. I learnt the format of maintaining board of dates of
cases and also prepare board of present day from my senior’s.
Board is basically a list of all the cases an advocate has to handle on that specific day. It
contains the name of the Judge, the courtroom of the judge, name of the parties, the stage of
the trial, the name of the advocate of the parties, the type of suit, the case number and year of
filing the suit. The board can be generated online in the official site of the court as well as the
advocates can make it themselves. Reading the board means to identify the serial number of
the Judges board with respect to the case type and case number. This helps in an easy way of
addressing cases and stages of the case in front of the judge and it is less time consuming.
Week two:
Sir provided some feedback, which we took into account and made changes to. He assigned
us the same tasks, such as drafting the board, creating time tables, and so on. I had to sit with
the clients as they told me about their incidents and situations. I was supposed to jot down
some quick facts. I was given time throughout the week to write a report on "Bailable and
Non-Bailable Offenses in India." By using real-life examples of our current clients, sir helped
us understand the difference between bailable and non-bailable offences. He also taught us
how to apply for bail, how to understand the procedure, and how to work on the application.
The report had to be submitted by the weekend.
Week Three:
Through weekly input, we had the opportunity to improve. Our concentration this week was
on writing a report on "Rights of an Arrested Person." This week, sir used real-life examples
to assist us grasp the basic procedure for making arrests and then what rights a detained
person has. We needed to keep putting together his schedule and so on. Like every day, we
had to get down with the clients and write down the data in a concise manner. This week was
a lot of fun because the topic featured a lot of interesting examples that kept us captivated.
Week four:
This was the final week of our internship with Sir. We were given some basic guidance on
which legal profession to pursue, as well as some leisure time. However, we were still
required to perform routine office tasks. This week, we had the option of writing a report on
whatever topic we wanted; I chose "Misuse of Article 356." We had a good time during the
internship. We were privileged to worked under Nayan Sir and Parth Sir.
