Flexiple
Flexiple
Team Strength:
Flexiple has a community of more than 200 freelancers from seven countries, some of
whom have worked at big multinational companies including Amazon, Adobe, Microsoft,
Ola, and Goldman Sachs, to name a few. Founders of Flexiple refused campus
placement when passing out IIM-Ahmadabad in order to focus full-time on their startup.
Prior starting their startup, founders have also worked with JP Morgan, Adobe, Maruti
Suzuki and Amazon. At present, Flexiple has a lean team of nine members who engage
with freelancers, sourcing them for their clients’ requirement.
Market-Size:
According to report by McKinsey, the freelance industry in India is estimated to grow to
$20 to $30 billion by 2025. Around 20% to 30% of professionals in developed markets
are engaged in freelance or gig economy. A PwC report predicts, bigger and successful
organizations will have few in-house employees and have a larger remote, virtual and
networked workforce – skilled freelancers.
Customers interested in sourcing freelancers fill a form on Flexiple’s website, after which
it gets in touch with them to verify their requirement over a call.
Clients are then offered at least 3 tailored recommendations for their requirements. After
this, clients get a week-long trial to check if the selected freelancer is fit for the job. Once
the trial period is over, Flexiple gets into the logistics around payments and contracts.
Competitors:
Freelancing industry is filled with multiple companies and there’s a cut throat completion
between them. It competes with companies like Zirtual, AskSunday, Wishup,
Freelancer.com and VirtualEmployee.co.in.
USP:
The biggest USP of Flexiple is the Quality of Talent they provide. They have spent
entire 6 months designing their screening process. They spent nearly 5-man hours for
every on-boarded freelancer. Their Freelancers have previously worked with top
companies like Amazon, Google, Adobe and Apple etc.
Final Thoughts:
I selected this startup for the USP which it’s providing. There are many freelancing sites
in India but they all fail to provide quality freelancers. They all spent almost zero time on
screening the freelancers while on-boarding them. From a startup/company point of view
it’s very difficult to hire a excellent freelancer because it has to research extensively while
selecting. This is where Flexiple stands out due to its extensive investment in on-boarding
the best freelancers it has now the most skilled freelancers on its site. This would make
companies and startups will choose Flexiple over its competitors.
